Its basically unplayable. The story stopped progressing after I rescued the sister. And I think it should already have been optimized for iPhone 5.

The game runs way too fast to play on iPhone 6 with ios 8. Sailing, fencing, dancing are all pretty much impossible. Visiting a town is about a day of game time per second. I requested a refund.

Its an awesome game! But salty wenches and rum would keep the crew happier than a violin! Make a way to allow wenches on board & barrels of rum! Also add a couple of women pirates to battle. That were there too ya know.

I like this game I had it for iPad but you need to fix all the bugs every time I try to save something I press the save button and nothing happens then when I come back and press load game my stuff isnt there and I have to start all over please fix bugs thx

Its really disappointing to spend money on a game that is so buggy, theres no way to win it. A player cant dance with the gov.s daughter. theres no way to tell where a treasure is buried. the map cant be zoomed into well enough to see anything. argh. fix it!

Dont sell this if youre not going to update it for years. No sound on iOS 8 and hasnt even been updated to use the iPhone 5 screen. Come on.

Why the heck are pirate hunters allowed to attack before battle sequence!?!? That is so unfair! Also unfair is the range and accuracy in which they fire upon my ships!!! I had one pirate hunter sink all three of my ships as I was running away while they were shooting (get this BS!) from the front of their ship!! Thats stupid and so infuriating! More infuriating is that it was an English hunter that was on my tale after just one attack of an English ship which happened no where near the English port that sent said pirate-hunter. Stooooopid! Also, it is impossible to defeat Marquis in final battle. It was fun the first couple of times, but youll get bored very quickly. Best bet is to save your $3 and buy some cheap beers instead !!

The game is grate except it has a lot of glitches. Just make sure you save often. There was a game that I was playing for two hours and I killed Blackbeard, stole his amazing ship and got a one shot pistol and the the game crashed.

This would be a fun game if it didnt crash all the time

I played this game on the computer back in high school. This game is almost identical to the PC version back then. Other than a few nice additions like tracking which I love. Overall still a fun game that requires strategy, prioritization and patience. It does have some bugs however, one being that when I rescue a family member the game freezes up. I tried manually closing the app completely and reopening. Somehow I ended up saving a second family member. Closed the app again thinking it was a glitch and then I saved a third family member. I was able to get the whole family in a matter of 5 minutes. Also, occasional app crashes, some sluggishness during the game that affected the outcome of the sword fight. Still a good game, fun. Wish it had a few new things from the game I played so many years ago but dont regret buying it.

Would enjoy an update, land battles would be cool too. The firing at the town thing is kinda dumb. I would also like to see the prison escape minigame. Just my two cents.

I loved sid meiers pirates on my original xbox, so when I saw that it was only $3 on the App Store I decided to get it. Its fun! But whoever came up with the sword fighting controls for the phone version needs to be fired. Its unresponsive and half the time does the wrong attack. It messes up a game that used to be one of my favorites.

Great game that is super addicting. Warning you will get hooked! Of course that makes it worse when you finally save one of the governors daughters and the game glitches and I cant move on in the game because it always glitches. Same thing happens when saving family members but I was actually able to close the app and move on with the game with those. These seriously need to be fixed to make it go from a great game to an amazing game!

Its ok, I guess. Nothing like the original for PC or Xbox. Like, you cant do anything in a sword fight since the controls are utter crap. If youre thinking to yourself," THIS WILL BE THE BEST THING EVER!" Dont kid yourself.

Sure they improved the sword play and the shop, but the navel battles are crap now. You cant sail out of cannon range, the screen is so zoomed in that sailing away in the right direction becomes next to impossible, and the wind/wind direction doesnt seem to matter anymore, furthermore when you try to select a different weapon type it just turns your ship in that direction, unless you hit the perfect spot. My touch screen is very accurate outside this game.

Update the game!!!!!

Controls too hard and there is never a tutorial

Pls make second version and make it a whole lot better this game is a legend and if you revive this game it would go far

- I have a powerful iPhone, and the game still crashes. A lot. Three times in the last hour. No other game I play does this, and I play newer, more graphically heavy games. This happens when the game is the only app running. - The dancing mini-game is awful. I have both items that can help with it, and Im good at games like that; the best Ive done is moving the bar 30%. - The sword fighting commands are often sluggish and unresponsive. - The menus are slow and poorly designed. Why, after saving, do I have to activate ANOTHER menu to get back to the game? There should be a "return to game" option. - I have all of the specialists, but I cant see how theyve helped. This is also true for the special items; see my comment about the dancing game. - Ill echo what others have said about the lack of land-based combat/adventures, prison breaks, etc. Some of these problems will never be fixed, as this game has been abandoned by the developers as unfixable. This is what they get for doing a port instead of a fresh start.

Issues with bombardment. I dont know if this happens to everyone but whenever i attack cities and when, beat the gaurd, then assign the governor i dont get the gold from raiding it. Hello? Isnt that the main point of that? Ive never been sent into the cannon view and attack the fortifications and all that.... Please fix it and simplify the map a little? My screen doesnt show geysers or dead trees and rock stuff....
